Tweetup in Rome

Last Saturday (May 24, 2009) we hosted a dinner in Garbatella for travel bloggers, food lovers and friends. We got to taste some great artisanal Italian food and wine, and got to meet some of our favorite twitterers at the same time.

The food was nothing short of amazing, you can check out the menu over at the Sapore Vero blog. It's hard to decide what was better, though, the food or the company. That evening, we were joined by Robin (aka @mymelange) and her pseudo-hubby Chris, Christine (aka @missexpatria) and the life of the party, her cousin Louis, Jessica from Boots 'N All (aka @italylogue), Katie (aka @katieparla), Jessica (aka @romephotoblog), Erica (aka @moscerina), and Hande and Theo(aka @vinoroma).

Above are some photos from the evening and below a video of Francesco (@fserra) describing what Fabiola (@fabiola_italy)and Vale prepared for us. It was a great evening, complete with fireworks courtesy of our neighbors in Garbatella.

I'm so bummed I missed this but it was the same day as Word(Press)Camp up in Milan :( Jessica told me she had a great time! Hopefully we'll meet some other day.

Oh you were missed, we all had such a great time! We will be passing through Milan on Saturday on our way back to the States.

And Francesco and Fabiola might kill me for saying this (they're still recovering from last weekend), but I bet they'd be happy to come to Milan sometime and cook for another tweetup But a great idea for the future! :)
