I hate cords at home and I hate them in my suitcase. So, when Black Box offered to send over their Retractable Cable Kit to try out, I welcomed the opportunity to see if they could cut down on my travel cable clutter. I gave the kit a thorough at home testing and toted it along with me on my last trip to Hawaii. I found a few things in the kit indispensable and a few not worthy of the space in my bag. If you hate cords as much as I do, check out my review.

No matter what kind of gadgets I take on my trips with me, I always seem to run out of power when I need it most. Whether I'm trying to watch a movie on my laptop on a long flight or look up a restaurant on my smart phone when I'm out exploring, the batteries never last as long as I need them to. To help fix that problem, I set out to find five portable batteries & chargers to help keep me powered during my travels. I found a range of helpful options, each filling a different role in your pack, from full-fledged laptop charging batteries to slim, lightweight emergency cellphone chargers.
On the last trip you took, did you notice how many digital photos you brought back with you? If you're anything like us, you often bring back hundreds, if not thousands, of photos. We've wrestled with the right tools to sort through, edit, and share our bounty of photos; despite all of our searching, we never found one tool that did all the things we wanted. It seems that Adobe has been doing some mind reading; they've crafted a great solution for all of us traveling photo nuts in Photoshop Lightroom 3. I've been spending some time with it and I'm here to share my thoughts on how it can help all of us photo-happy travelers.
Wow, I'm kinda embarrassed to admit this, but I'm totally in the dog house here in the Travellious house. I just got my T-Mobile phone bill covering the few days that I was in Aruba last month and it was a jaw dropper. I'll admit that I didn't do my research before hand, nor study up on the costs associated with using my phone abroad. I knew it was expensive (been there, done that) and thought I kept it to a minimum.
CES or the Consumer Electronics Show rolls into Las Vegas every year, with new toys and desires for tech addicts to drool over. This year was no different, with loads of TVs, 3D technology, e-readers, and more. But what does it have to offer the traveler? I've poured over reports from the show, and have showcased a few things that, once they're released, would help you out on your next trip.
