Its hard to put a limit on our personal wish list, we'd go almost anywhere. Italy is locked down as where we'll be for the majority of the month of May. But we've got a few other places we've been dreaming of for one reason or another. For me, I always say Greece is next on the list, but I've been saying that for years. Japan is also calling me so I can add an Asian travel obsession to my repertoire. And for Austin, he's been dying to get down to Mexico City and fortunately shares my interest in Japan, Greece, and Turkey. Francesco has been dreaming of communing with the penguins of South Georgia island after reading The Endurance.

What about you? What's on your travel wishlist for 2009 and beyond?

In June, I'll be going to Mexico: Guadalajara and Puerto Vallarta. I'd also like to work in a short stay in Mex. City, but it might be too much.

Loads! 2009 is going to be a big travel year for me. Next up is a weekend in Antwerp (via Eurostar), followed by a week skiing somewhere in Europe. All that's a warm-up for the big one, my round the world trip starting in March. It's been a long time coming and now it's round the corner I can't wait. I'll be starting in Mexico in march, followed by Guatemala & Honduras, then down to Colombia, Bolivia & Peru, then on to Australia, and finally on to Asia, not sure where yet.

I am headed to Hawaii Island in a week and a half to take advantage of the great deals and explore the volcano. Depending on the Euro, my fall trip will either be to Italy (Euro below $1.30) or Eqypt.

I'm heading for Malaysia in 2 weeks. We looked at the destinations that were not too expensive from Seattle and found out that we could fly to Kota Kinabalu for not too much $$. Spending two weeks exploring the island of Borneo. Looking forward to the plants, animals and food.

Wow, everyone is heading to some great places. I'm getting some travel envy...and I keep hearing about these Hawaii deals. I feel like I need to head there too!

I'm getting married in May on the Greek islands - we'll be there exploring for 2 weeks and plan to hit Athens as well, with a quick stop in Madrid.

Scaling down, a little, this year. But next up is Berlin, which is new to me and then it's off to see family in Sweden.

Thinking, just thinking, that a 10-day trip to Mexico might be on the cards for autumn.
