Whether you're a once-a-year vacationer or a non-stop world traveler, it's easy to fall into some sort of pattern. Whether it's talking to people in their native language, couch surfing, going to a grocery store, or going bungee jumping, stepping out of your comfort zone can open you up to new experiences and give you memories you'll never forget.
Personally, having conversations with people is always at the top of my list of "out of my comfort zone" experiences. This past year, my most uncomfortable, and simultaneously enjoyable, experience was haggling for camera gear in Singapore. I'm not much for confrontation, so making myself follow through was the hardest part. But once I dove into it, I had a great time. So, I implore you, go, find something that makes you a little uncomfortable and confront it.

I completely agree - getting out of my comfort zone is normally is when I've had the most rewarding and best learning experiences when traveling. I sometimes forget, however, that seeking experiences that make me uncomfortable is also important in every day life and in business.
I believe this is one of the most under rated success principles. Most of us let fear totally rule our lives and we don't even realize it! Get comfortable being uncomfortable and succeed!
