How To: Plan A Fun Business Trip

Don't get me wrong, there is nothing inherently fun about business trips. You usually can't pick where you go, how long you are there, where you stay, or how you spend most of your time. However, if you exercise a little forethought, you might just have a good time.

Just because you are in a city for work doesn't mean you can't treat your evenings like a mini vacation. The key to making the most of your limited time, as with every other trip, is lots of research. While you may not be able to see most museums or tourist attractions after a hard day of work, you will be able to get your fill of shopping, eating, drinking, and hanging out. When you're planning, come up with more ideas than you have time for. You never know where you may end up, plus you want to have lots of options for the evenings where you just don't want to think.
One last tip: Don't forget to tap into the wisdom of the people you're working with. At the very least, you'll have some great recommendations for a bite to eat. If you're lucky, you could end up with someone to eat dinner with.

    That's great tips, Austin!
I think these should be the basic rules on how to plan a whatever trip, but mostly you tend to forget them and find yourself unprepared when in the place!
    Thanks :)
