When I received a Spongelle as a Christmas gift, I'll admit I was a bit skeptical. It had made its run in the beauty magazines and is seemingly wasteful (a sponge that lasts a finite amount of washes and comes pre-loaded with soaps named pretentious things, like French Lavender-Meyer Lemon Infusion.) As a gift it was appreciated, but not something I'd consider investing in as a permanent bathing solution. However, in the age of liquid bans and baggage charges, I'm always thinking about packing alternatives. And, after a few uses, this bathtub frivolity quickly turned into a must pack travel necessity.
The concept is simple, it's a sponge with scented shower gel inside. Simply wet it, suds appears, and you've got all you need for a spa-like shower in the palm of your hand. It comes in a variety of scents, sizes, and number of washes. For a short jaunt, they even have a travel size
(5 washes).
The only travel concern I have is drying time while on the move, but Spongelle has created a travel case for easy packing and drying. But, if you're looking for a luxurious, restriction-friendly, and convenient travel toiletry, Spongelle is the answer.
